Our eight year old granddaughter Sophia attended sleep over camp for the first time this year. She took with her Zebby her Zebra pillow because every night she clutches him in her arms until she falls asleep and she couldn’t bear to be separated from him. Zebra and child spent a wonderful three weeks at camp. On the day of departure in the chaos of bidding farewell to camp buddies and the anticipation of going home to family, Sophia left Zebby behind in the dining room after eating breakfast. She discovered he was missing when she was travelling on the bus. She was devastated and must have had a melt down because the bus councillor phoned the camp. Zebby was located. Fortunately Sohia’s older brother was still at camp and was schedualed to come home later that day. Zebby was entrusted in his care. But alas, Sophia’s older brother was so busy packing and saying goodbye to his friends that he completly forgot about poor Zebby. Once again Zebby was left behind. When Maxwell arrived home Zebbyless, Sophia was once more devastated and wouldn’t stay in the same room with her brother.
This story has a happy ending . The camp was called again and once again Zebby was relocated. He was sent special delivery to Sophia and once again Sophia and zebra are reunited and brother and sister are once again talking to each other.
